the situations I work with
Four key places in relationships where people often need specialist help.
Couples in Crisis
When you are afraid the relationship is failing.
What is happening beneath the surface
A relationship can shift quickly when a substance, a compulsion, a mood or a belief system begins to run the dynamic. It stops being a communication issue and becomes something neither of you can ignore. We slow down what is happening so you can see what is actually driving the crisis.
what we look at together
We look at the forces shaping your relationship, not just the arguments. This includes how each of you responds under stress, what has taken hold of the system, and whether there is enough capacity for repair. The goal is to understand what is real, not to force reconciliation or separation.
where we begin
We begin by identifying the third presence, whatever is destabilising the relationship. Once that is named, we can assess safety, stabilise what can be stabilised, and determine the next right step. Couples usually gain clarity quickly about what is possible and what is not.
Compulsive Patterns & Mood States
When something else starts running the relationship.
What is happening beneath the behaviour
When a substance, a compulsion, or a mood begins shaping the dynamic, the relationship shifts long before either of you can name it. What used to be the two of you becomes a triangle, with the behaviour acting as a third presence that distorts everything around it.
What we look at together
We identify the role the behaviour is playing in the relationship, what it protects, what it displaces, and how each partner responds to it. This is not about blame. It is about understanding what has taken hold of the system and whether meaningful change is possible.
Where we begin
We begin by naming the third presence clearly. Once the shape of the issue is visible, we assess safety, stabilise what can be stabilised, and determine the next right step. Clarity usually comes quickly once the behaviour itself is no longer hidden or minimised.
Spiritual Crisis & Altered States
When your inner world stops matching the outer one.
What is happening beneath the intensity
When a belief, a revelation, a synchronistic flood or a destabilising practice takes over, it can feel as if your sense of self is dissolving faster than you can keep up. You may not know whether you are breaking down or breaking open. The task is not to judge the experience but to understand what has taken hold.
What we look at together
We explore the experience from both psychological and transpersonal angles. We look at what is symbolic, what is defensive, what is traumatic residue, and what is genuinely emergent. The aim is to help you ground, orient, and make meaning without collapsing into fear or inflating into certainty.
Where we begin
We begin by stabilising your system. This means slowing the intensity, restoring perspective, and identifying what is real enough to stand on. Once you are resourced, we can work through the content of the experience and integrate what it is asking of you.
Dream Work & The Unconscious
When your mind is speaking in a language you do not yet understand...
When something deeper is trying to get your attention.
Not every crisis starts on the surface. Sometimes the pressure builds underneath, in the places you cannot name yet. Dreamwork helps you catch what your mind is trying to resolve, long before it erupts in your waking life.
Working with the Dream State.
I do not interpret dreams as symbols in a book. We look at what the dream is doing in your life today, what tension it is trying to resolve, and where it is pointing you. This is practical depth work, grounded in psychology, not mysticism.
Seeing what you have not been able to see.
Dreams reveal blind spots, contradictions, suppressed drives and unspoken truths. Together we follow the thread back to your real relationships, your real choices and your real turning points. This is where insight becomes direction, not confusion.
